I have never used "--enable-calma" or any of the other "--enable"
compile options.  Normally they're included, and you would use
"--disable" to remove the packages.  Clearly the makefile process
doesn't set the -D... flags when you use "--enable".  Thanks for
the bug report;  should be easy to fix.  But note that by doing
"./configure" you get (or at least, you are supposed to get) the
same behavior as the line you typed above.
