[Magic-dev] query

sir,
      I have downloaded 7.1 version of Magic and installed it on a linux
station. Installation was successful and when I start the tool, the
graphical window doesnt display the toolbar stating the file and options and
also there is no display that shows different metals, polys, vias etc. Its
just displaying a plain window with a cursor and am able to run commands
from console. am new to magic, can you suggest something to debug this?
