No, you made your needs clear.  I don't know of any freeware/open source
solutions for automatic test pattern generation.  However, IRSIM does
have a built-in fault simulator that you can look into.  If there are
published formulae or algorithms for automatic test pattern generation,
I could add them into IRSIM.  It's not an unreasonable request!
