I eventually found a way: build magic with tcl/tk support and install  
it, then perform a make clean, reconfigure --with-interpreter=no and  
build standalone ext2sim and ext2spice.

Is there a way to turn off exttosim and exttospice tcl functions when  
building with tcl/tk ?
