Dear Joe,
The tools you request were part of the 1986 VLSI tools tape. Since
one of our students wanted to look at the code, I actually dusted
off the tape drive and dug up the nine-track a few weeks ago, and
I happen to have it on our ftp site. I don't believe this violates
any licensing agreements, but if it does, get it before the lawyers
do! This is the location:

ftp.cs.caltech.edu in the directory pub/mika, filename : MAGIC86.tar.gz

Please remember that this is "dusty deck" code, and don't forget to use
"gcc -traditional" as your C compiler! Oh, and ignore the install script,
and references to the Sun2 and VAX.

   Regards,
Mika Nystrom <mika AT cs DOT caltech.edu>
