Dear Prakash, Normally, when I intentionally violate DRC rules, I just leave them there, particularly if there are not many. If it seems like I will be doing this a lot and it might cause me to miss other, non-intentional errors, I sometimes will make modifications to the tech file, for instance, to add a layer which duplicates another layer but does not have any DRC rules associated with it. Magic doesn't have any DRC commands to ignore certain cells. However, if it looks like a useful idea, I doubt it would be very difficult to add a sub-command "drc ignore <cellname>", though I tend more toward the opinion that any architecture which intentionally violates design rules needs a tech file which can accomodate the architecture as a valid layout. However, most people don't like to tinker around with the tech files. (Anyone else have an opinion about adding a "drc ignore" command?) Regards, Tim
