Hi,

PC-XWare on my system (NT4) uses a 24Bit true color display.  Therefore
I use the following magic_start.bat file:

REM path
set PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;d:\magic_cad\bin

set TMPDIR=../temp

REM display for X11
SET DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0

REM set MAGIC root directory
SET CAD_HOME=d:\magic_cad

REM defaults library path (relative path and final slash required)
SET SCM_LIB_DIR=../lib/magic/scm/

REM resources for Magic and xman
SET XAPPLRESDIR=../app-defaults/

SET MAGIC_COLOR=24bit

REM goto directory with all executables
cd d:\magic_cad\bin


REM Manual for X11  
SET MANPATH=./../man/
run xman.exe 

REM Start rxvt and MAGIC
run ./rxvt.exe -sb -e ./magic tut3d


This will give MAGIC with stipple patterns. To improve the graphics, it
is better to have a X server which supports OpenGL.
