Magic wrapping: We have problems getting free hosting on uklinux.net, (our ISP). Also there were some problems when we tested the software with a bad version of Tix (shipped with a lot of linux distributions) Temporarily, the magic wrapping will be on the multigig.com ftp site, and has had the KDE-look and feel removed. I met with Tim Edwards last week ( Magic maintainer ) and he explained the problems with Hierarchical ext2spice. There is a fundamental problem which can apply - ext2spice has to flatten the hierarchy in the .ext file to account for modified cells (e.g. if you wire into a node within a subcell it must extract the new configuration --- which is no longer a standard cell). Overlapping cells are also a problem. If you never 'tap-into' the internal nodes of cells, nor overlap them, ext2spice could work. It is a simple little program to modify. LVS - Tim has a copy of both Gemini and Netcomp which apparently work. LVS will be included in our complete package within a GUI option. Once we get some free hosting for the free software, we are going to publish our roadmaps etc on multigig.org. In the short term, ftp://multigig.com will be active (please wait a few hours from now). best regards, John ----- Original Message ----- From: "Poras T.
