I want to read in lef and def files of my design into magic. How do i do it? > Is there any setup ( or techfiles) that is required other than reading above two files for reading new design into magic?? > And one more question, how big of a design this magic tool can hold in its memory?? I have done some work on LEF/DEF files and magic. At the moment there is no standard way of reading in LEF/DEF files. In the past I have written a program to extract from the LEF/DEF certain components and convert them to a magic cell. Although this was only done for example LEF/DEF files which were incomplete. In short you will have to either go to OpenAcess website and download the LEF/DEF phaser C library and make a converter yourself. Alternativily try to use exiting converters to changs the LEF/DEF file to GDS. A not very helpful Stefan Jones
