To be fair to tclspice, I got the tclspice-0.2.10 tarball and expanded, configured and made it ./configure --enable-tcl --enable-experimental --disable-shared make tcl make install-tcl A minor point, the version is still set to 0.2.9 and hasnt changed to 0.2.10 so it still reports 0.2.9 when 'package require spice' is invoked in the magic tk console. magic -w invlay package require spice 0.2.9 ///the old version reported here, not 0.2.10 spice_init_gui testx_trans.cir spice::run spicewish::plot in out produces a plot of the in and out of the test inverter defined in testx_trans.cir. Selecting "Plot" or "Edit" with the spicewish window are benign within magic. A minor comment on edit, I really like the ability to edit a spice file, but line numbers would be helpful. Selecting "STOP", "Run" or "Quit" causes magic, wish and spice to all die. I think that the spicewish window idea needs some more study and work to integrate within magic. It appears both magic and spice are battling for wish window resources and neither wins. Basically, tclspice is quite fragile at this time within magic. I suspect that the magic folks need to use the spice and the spice folks need to use magic in order to work out integration issues and get tclspice to be a really useful tool for IC design.
