    This morning, I downloaded the magic-7.2.48.tgz file to /home/cad on a local
machine from Tims site. This is the formula for first compilation on a RH8
system.

tar -xvzf magic-7.2.48.tgz
cd magic-7.2.48
(read the READ_ME)
cd scripts
./configure --with-interpreter=tcl
cd ..
make tcl
make install-tcl

At this point, I was able to invoke magic and admire that it was just
compiled today. Then I exited and invoked 'magic -w'. At this point, I have
the File and Options menus at the top of the screen. I can then click on
options and get the toolbar.

Kudos to Tim for another successful magic release.

Now if I could only figure out how to use either the cell libraries from
Mosis, UnivKans or UnivMiss without DRC errors I could actually do something
useful with Magic.
