I have a magic layout done withe version 6.5.1. The goal at the beginning
of the project was to have a 2 micron gate (lambda=1 micron). It has been
recommended that I use the 0.8 LAMBDA, 1.5 micron process. Now that time
has passed and software upgrades have been released I am faced with several
decisions. The MOSIS web page for the ABN 1.5 micron process lists two
    design rule options:

    1. AMIS_ABN LAMBDA n/a (?), Feature size 1.5 (microns).
    2. SCMOS LAMBDA=0.80 microns Feature size 1.5 (microns)
    after sizing

The original layout was done with SCMOS Design Rules. Which set of rules
    will meet our needs best.

To continue, should I install the latest version of Magic or will 6.5 work
properly with the new tech files? Finally, if I do need the latest version
of Magic should I use the UNIX or Windows implementation? This would be
the first time I would be installing software of this nature. Thank you for
    your time.

    Regards

    Peter
