I think the process should be the other way around: once you set the resistance threshold, Magic should extract any resistor that exceeds this threshold UNLESS it is marked in the layout as being ignorable. The odd situation that comes to mind is as follows: Suppose you have a critical resistor in your design that is not very large. In order to get it extracted, you have to set a low resistance threshold. But then you get a bunch of other innocuous resistors which increase the size of the Spice deck and lengthen your simulation time. Philippe Pouliquen The Johns Hopkins University
