Dear Albert, > 1) I am running Magic-7.2.62 and see these warnings after exiting Magic. > Font -*-helvetica-medium-r-normal--18-*-75-75-p-*-iso8859-* still in cache. > (etc.) I did a search on the web once and determined that the error is in Tk, and should (?) go away if you update Tcl and Tk (if I recall, version 8.3 has the problem and version 8.4 fixes it, but I could be wrong about that). However, I get this message on my computer at home and have decided just to ignore it. It started happening when I tried to convert as many graphics functions as possible from X11 to Tk, and that included loading and handling fonts. Before that, font loading was handled by a direct call to an X11 subroutine. > 2) I have BLT 2.4z installed on my Linux machine before I compiled the > source of Magic. However, the cell manager doesn't show up when I invoke > Magic. In the console window, go to menu selection "Interp->Packages". On my system, it has a menu cascade entry at the bottom saying "BLT2.4 Loaded". This indicates that Tcl knows where to find BLT and has loaded it. Otherwise, if it's there, and clicking on the magic window menu "Options->Cell Manager" doesn't bring up the cell manager, then I'll have to check further. Make sure you're running "magic -w", or the cell manger, technology manager, and toolbar will not be available. Regards, Tim
