With help from Tim and Kim, I could finally compile Magic 7.1 on my Sun 60 running Solaris 8 (I will post the details of the fixes separately for the benefit of others.) Now, when I run magic, I get the error message: "Could not find ~cad - Magic unable to find its system startup files." Where/what are these system files, and how can I fix this problem? My session on our workstation 'sunlab09' is shown below.
