I am trying to compile magic ver 7.2.62 using Redhat 9 Linux, under csh.
I am following the procedure:
cd scripts
 ./configure -with-tcl -with-opengl
cd ..
make tcl
make intall-tcl
 
So far, everything goes fine (after removing the extra ")" in
calmawrite.c ). It makes the magic directory under usr/local/lib/magic.
I do not have a $CAD_HOME set
When I invoke magic using /usr/bin/magic (with or without -w option) I
get two windows:
The first window titled "tkcon 2.3 main", and a blank one titled "tkconf
tcl #2"
In the first window I get the message:
 
Error in slave eval:
Could not load file /usr/local/lib/magic/.../tclmagic.so: undefined
symbol: TiGetTopTypet
Main console active (Tcl 8-3-5/Tk 8-3-5)
Magic-7.2.62 %
 
The same thing happened when I used Linux Redhat 7.1 initially, or when
I setup a $CAD_HOME env variable and made the installation under it
