I have a gdsii file and wanted to use magic as a gdsii viewer for this
file. With the default scmos technology I get only errors like this:
Error while reading cell "A": Unknown layer/datatype in boundary, layer=6
type=0
Error while reading cell "A": Label on unknown layer/datatype, layer=40
type=0
[more layer/datatype errors]
Error while reading cell "B": SREF/AREF ref point doesn't scale exactly
(2180,31410) / 100 = (22,314)
Warning at line 0 of CIF file: Input off lambda grid by 7/10; grid
redefined.
These are not the only errors, but I guess they all come from the fact that
this gdsii has been written with a technology different from scmos.
Now, how can I quickly generate a tech file so that I can view a gdsii file
of unknown origin and technology? Or is this impossible as magic work with
tiles and planes? I will go on and make myself a dummy techfile according
to the maintainers manusl #2, but if anybody here already has done such
work and know about obstacles, I would be happy to hear about your
experience.
I downloaded and compiled xrlcad to get some info from the gdsii file:
UNITS 0.001 user units 1e-09 meters (original: 9.85448e-10);
how do I interpret these numbers for the magic tech file? (If anybody know)
