Hi,
regarding the missing file dialog for reading gds file with magic -w, I 
discovered on x-win32 that as soon as the pointer enters the drawing area of 
the main widget it is movet to top hiding the file dialog behind. This is 
very unusual behaviour on a windows machine. I move the main window and get 
hold of the file dialog and I observe that it is the drawing area itself, not 
the frame or the menu buttons that cause this behaviour.
I broke my kde installation as I tried to upgrade the x-server so I was not 
able to check if this also happen on KDE with linux.

I normally don't use the file dialog and use the tkcon commandline.
