Hallo Tim, I find that labels over poly contacts are not output properly even when using the default scmos.tech file. My version is 8.2.28, and my Magic version is 7.2.43. I've pasted a mag file, nr4v0x1.mag, below. When I write a CIF file, label "d" has no layer associated with it. magic tech scmos timestamp 1071733974 << pwell >> rect -8 -4 80 32 << nwell >> rect -8 32 80 76 << polysilicon >> rect 13 65 15 70 rect 20 65 22 70 rect 27 65 29 70 rect 34 65 36 70 rect 44 56 46 61 rect 51 56 53 61 rect 58 56 60 61 rect 65 56 67 61 rect 13 36 15 39 rect 2 35 15 36 rect 2 31 3 35 rect 7 34 15 35 rect 7 31 12 34 rect 2 30 12 31 rect 20 30 22 39 rect 27 36 29 39 rect 34 36 36 39 rect 44 36 46 39 rect 27 34 30 36 rect 34 34 46 36 rect 10 18 12 30 rect 18 29 24 30 rect 18 25 19 29 rect 23 25 24 29 rect 18 24 24 25 rect 28 27 30 34 rect 38 30 39 34 rect 43 30 44 34 rect 38 29 44 30 rect 28 26 34 27 rect 20 18 22 24 rect 28 22 29 26 rect 33 22 34 26 rect 28 21 34 22 rect 32 18 34 21 rect 42 18 44 29 rect 51 27 53 39 rect 58 30 60 39 rect 65 36 67 39 rect 65 35 74 36 rect 65 34 69 35 rect 68 31 69 34 rect 73 31 74 35 rect 68 30 74 31 rect 58 29 64 30 rect 48 26 54 27 rect 48 22 49 26 rect 53 22 54 26 rect 58 25 59 29 rect 63 25 64 29 rect 58 24 64 25 rect 48 21 54 22 rect 10 7 12 12 rect 20 7 22 12 rect 32 7 34 12 rect 42 7 44 12 << ndiffusion >> rect 2 17 10 18 rect 2 13 3 17 rect 7 13 10 17 rect 2 12 10 13 rect 12 17 20 18 rect 12 13 14 17 rect 18 13 20 17 rect 12 12 20 13 rect 22 12 32 18 rect 34 17 42 18 rect 34 13 36 17 rect 40 13 42 17 rect 34 12 42 13 rect 44 12 53 18 rect 24 8 30 12 rect 24 4 25 8 rect 29 4 30 8 rect 46 8 53 12 rect 24 3 30 4 rect 46 4 47 8 rect 51 4 53 8 rect 46 3 53 4 << pdiffusion >> rect 4 68 11 69 rect 4 64 6 68 rect 10 65 11 68 rect 10 64 13 65 rect 4 39 13 64 rect 15 39 20 65 rect 22 39 27 65 rect 29 39 34 65 rect 36 56 41 65 rect 67 68 74 69 rect 67 64 68 68 rect 72 64 74 68 rect 67 63 74 64 rect 69 56 74 63 rect 36 50 44 56 rect 36 46 38 50 rect 42 46 44 50 rect 36 39 44 46 rect 46 39 51 56 rect 53 39 58 56 rect 60 39 65 56 rect 67 39 74 56 << metal1 >> rect -6 68 82 72 rect -6 64 6 68 rect 10 64 50 68 rect 54 64 58 68 rect 62 64 68 68 rect 72 64 82 68 rect 2 54 73 58 rect 2 36 6 54 rect 11 46 38 50 rect 42 46 43 50 rect 2 35 7 36 rect 2 31 3 35 rect 2 30 7 31 rect 11 18 15 46 rect 19 38 63 42 rect 19 29 23 38 rect 33 30 39 34 rect 43 30 47 34 rect 59 29 63 38 rect 69 35 73 54 rect 69 30 73 31 rect 19 24 23 25 rect 28 22 29 26 rect 33 22 49 26 rect 53 22 55 26 rect 59 24 63 25 rect 3 17 7 18 rect 11 17 41 18 rect 11 13 14 17 rect 18 13 36 17 rect 40 13 41 17 rect 3 8 7 13 rect -6 4 25 8 rect 29 4 47 8 rect 51 4 60 8 rect 64 4 68 8 rect 72 4 82 8 rect -6 0 82 4 << ntransistor >> rect 10 12 12 18 rect 20 12 22 18 rect 32 12 34 18 rect 42 12 44 18 << ptransistor >> rect 13 39 15 65 rect 20 39 22 65 rect 27 39 29 65 rect 34 39 36 65 rect 44 39 46 56 rect 51 39 53 56 rect 58 39 60 56 rect 65 39 67 56 << polycontact >> rect 3 31 7 35 rect 19 25 23 29 rect 39 30 43 34 rect 29 22 33 26 rect 69 31 73 35 rect 49 22 53 26 rect 59 25 63 29 << ndcontact >> rect 3 13 7 17 rect 14 13 18 17 rect 36 13 40 17 rect 25 4 29 8 rect 47 4 51 8 << pdcontact >> rect 6 64 10 68 rect 68 64 72 68 rect 38 46 42 50 << psubstratepcontact >> rect 60 4 64 8 rect 68 4 72 8 << nsubstratencontact >> rect 50 64 54 68 rect 58 64 62 68 << psubstratepdiff >> rect 59 8 73 9 rect 59 4 60 8 rect 64 4 68 8 rect 72 4 73 8 rect 59 3 73 4 << nsubstratendiff >> rect 49 68 63 69 rect 49 64 50 68 rect 54 64 58 68 rect 62 64 63 68 rect 49 63 63 64 << labels >> rlabel metal1 4 48 4 48 6 a rlabel metal1 28 16 28 16 6 z rlabel polycontact 40 32 40 32 6 d rlabel metal1 28 48 28 48 6 z rlabel metal1 44 24 44 24 6 c rlabel metal1 44 40 44 40 6 b rlabel metal1 38 4 38 4 6 vss rlabel metal1 36 56 36 56 6 a rlabel metal1 38 68 38 68 6 vdd << end >> I checked scmos.tech, and layer CMF has pc/m1 in its label line.
